The Objectives and Purposes of this Local Union shall be:

To unite within this local union all persons eligible for membership.

To engage in collective bargaining on behalf of the employees within the jurisdiction of the local union.

To administer and police, so as to prevent violations of collective bargaining agreements.

To provide for the processing and administration of grievances and arbitration as provided for in collective bargaining agreements.

To inform the membership of all issues and concerns which may affect them.

To encourage and foster legislation and regulations on federal, state and local levels advantageous to labor in general, and Telecommunications Workers in particular, and to protect against and help to defeat and prevent legislation and regulatjons on the federal, state or local levels detrimental to labor and Telecommunications Workers.

To encourage members to take part in all of various forms and levels of democratic government, and take part in activities of this union.

T o encourage members in improving the lives of their fellow citizens through active participation in communicaty and charitable services.

To cooperate with other labor organizations in common efforts to promote the aims and purposes of labor .

To organize telecommunications and other workers.

T o carry out the objectives and principles of the Communications Workers of America.

T o promote actively the general welfare of the union and the employees we represent
